According to recent reports, selected KTM dealerships in India have commenced the pre-bookings for the 250cc Husqvarna motorcycles ahead of their official launch which is expected to take place next month. The motorcycles have started reaching dealerships in the Indian market while will be available on display in the coming days.
Unveiled at the India Bike Week 2019 in Goa, the 250cc Husqvarna motorcycles share their underpinnings with the KTM Duke 250 though the designing traits are based on their underlying platform. Powering the 250cc Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen is a 248.8cc single-cylinder 4-stroke BS6-compliant engine that generates a maximum power of 31HP @ 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 24Nm @ 7250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The suspension duties on the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 will be handled by KTM Duke 250-inspired USD forks at the front while the rear will get a preload-adjustable monoshock unit. The braking power will continue to be offered by the same disc brakes at either side as seen on the Duke 250 while the motorcycles will be equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 has been imparted with scrambler-style looks while features an upright riding position. In addition to this, the motorcycle has been shod with dual-purpose tyres while gets a lightweight chassis. The Husqvarna Vitpilen, on the other hand, has been equipped with a forward-riding position and gets a clip-on handlebar unit. The brand has offered the Vitpilen with a cafe-racer inspired design language.
In addition to accepting the pre-bookings for the 250cc Husqvarna motorcycles, some of the KTM dealerships have also commenced the bookings for the BS6-compliant Duke 250 and Duke 390.
