Husqvarna 401 Series Launched in UK: Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 were recently launched in the UK for £ 5599. KTM Duke 390 is priced at £ 4699 and thus, buyers will have to pay £ 900 more for this cafe racer inspired designs.

When calculated in terms of Indian prices, one can expect the gap to fall around INR 40,000 between both these bikes. Prices in the UK differ by around INR 82,000. Both twin cylinder Yamaha R3 and Ninja 300 are priced under these two Husqvarna twins in that market. Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 are both sharing components with KTM 390 Duke.

Svartpilen is an off-road specific option with spoke wheels, dual purpose tyres and black body shade for added attitude. Vitpilen is finished in White and comes with road specific tyres for better on road grip. It even shares the spoke wheels with Svartpilen 401.

Engine powering both the bikes is same 373.2cc, single cylinder unit from KTM 390 Duke. They have disclosed the performance values (44 HP, A2 license friendly) while one can expect better power to weight ratio. Husqvarna believes in ripping apart useless parts and design of both bikes clears this fact through minimal body panels.

Available details on Husky Moto UK website confirms that it comes with just 9.5 liters of fuel carrying capacity and 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist function. WP sourced front and rear suspension is identical to KTM 390 Duke while ground clearance stays 170mm on both these bikes.

Seat height is quite high at 835 mm while four piston front and single piston rear brake comes with ABS as standard. LED lights are used at both front and rear of the motorcycle. Both these bikes will arrive in India as first set of products from Husqvarna. They are currently manufactured in India and are expected to be priced around INR 2.80 Lakh (Ex-showroom).
