Husqvarna Explorer 250 Adventure Motorcycle in the Making: Husqvarna Motorcycles has recently forayed into the Indian market with the introduction of two 250cc bikes at the India Bike Week 2019 in Goa. Now, according to recent rumours, the brand is all set to make an entry into the 250cc adventure motorcycle segment. The Swedish brand will be unveiling its adventure motorcycles under the “Explorer” moniker.
The reports suggest that the brand is all set to start the development of a 250cc adventure motorcycle under the Explorer tag in addition to working on two more adventure bikes based on the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401. All the adventure motorcycles from the brand are expected to be launched in the next 2-3 years while one can expect the brand to officially confirm the news soon.
Following the same route as that of KTM motorcycles, the Husqvarna Explorer 250 adventure motorcycle is expected to get the similar 250cc engine borrowed from the recently unveiled Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 though the overall styling of the motorcycle is expected to be revised according to its underlying platform. The brand is expected to offer the same headlight and taillight setup to the 250cc adventure motorcycle in addition to offering similar instrument panel as that of its 250cc siblings.
Since the brand will be manufacturing the Explorer 250 in India, one can expect it to feature a competitive price tag like the Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250. The brand is expected to launch the 250 Explorer sometime in the year 2021 though the concept version of the motorcycle may surface sometime before that.
In addition to this, the “Street & E-Mobility” portfolio under the brand is expected to feature not one but nine new motorcycles in the coming years. Apart from Explorer 250, one can expect the brand to roll out the entry-level 125cc Husqvarna models in the Asian markets in the future.
