Husqvarna has recently debuted their motorcycles in the Indian market by the name Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250. Both the motorcycles are based on the KTM Duke 250. In addition to this, the brand has also revealed its first 200cc streetfighter, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 through a set of official photos. According to the reports, the motorcycle is expected to hit the Indian market by the end of 2020.
Based on the underpinnings of KTM Duke 200, the Svartpilen 200 is powered by the same 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is capable to offer a maximum power of 25.8HP and a peak torque of 19.5Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The braking duties on the 200c Husqvarna are handled by a 300mm disc brake at the front and a 230mm disc brake at the rear. One can expect the brand to offer the motorcycle with a 2-channel BOSCH ABS as standard.
The suspension bits on the motorcycles also remains identical to the Svartpilen 250 and are catered by 43mm upside telescopic forks at the front while the rear features an adjustable monoshock unit. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with the same round all-digital instrument console identical to the one offered on the 250cc variants.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 features almost identical styling to the Svartpilen 401 though the brand has equipped it with alloy wheels setup as well as MRF tyres to keep the costs under check. The motorcycle also features an under-belly exhaust unit, opposite to the side-mounted exhaust offered on the Svartpilen 401.
Once launched in India, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 is expected to undercut the KTM Duke 200 by around INR 10,000, which currently sells in the market at a price tag of INR 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
