Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 Style is the evolutionary example from the brand that purely focuses on exclusivity and styling. The value of adding Style moniker to the name is fulfilled through the additional components that are clearly visible to even those who are not into the motorcycling segment.
The special edition is based on the standard variant, getting bronze as the primary colour for the fuel tank and engine casing. The wheels are spoke-type, finished in chrome for the spoke section and black for the base. The exposed frame is finished in the black shade while the seat stays independent of any visible handles and panels. The handlebar features bar-end rearview mirrors while front comes with a stylish headlight to further compliment this nameplate.
The radiator is curved and looks equally impressive as the rest of the style-enhancing parts of the motorcycle. The 692.7cc single cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 75 HP of maximum power and 72 Nm of torque. The features available on the Svartpilen 701 includes traction control, ride by wire and six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
The CNC-machined footpegs and exclusive tank badges made from aluminium further complement the overall styling. The motorcycle comes with USD front forks, WP sourced rear suspension and 320mm front braking system from Brembo.
The launch of Svartpilen 701 Style in India is uncertain at the moment as the brand will bring KTM Duke 390-based motorcycles in the first phase. Named as Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401, both the bikes will offer premium components and all-new design lines for the 390 KTM platform.
The starting range for Husqvarna motorcycles will fall close to INR 3 lakh while Svartpilen 701 Style will fall above the INR 6 lakh segment after mild localization. The huge single cylinder engine was first expected to arrive through the KTM 690 Duke but later, the brand confirmed the arrival for more powerful twin-cylinder Duke 790 for the Indian market and cancelled the single cylinder upgrade.
