Bajaj Auto recently unveiled the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 at the ‘India Bike Week’ in Goa. Mechanically, the all-new motorcycle is based on the KTM Duke 250 and in terms of styling, it is inspired by the Vitpilen 401, which is a modern cafe racer. The 250cc Husqvarna motorcycle will be launched in India on February 14, 2020, and it will be sold through KTM ProBiking showrooms. In terms of pricing, the Vitpilen 250 is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 2.40-2.50 lakh.
The all-new Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is powered by a 248.8cc single-cylinder 4-stroke BS6-compliant engine that generates a maximum power of 31HP @ 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 24Nm @ 7250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The suspension duties of the motorcycle are handled by upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear.
In terms of braking, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is equipped with a 320mm front disc brake and a 230mm rear disc brake. The motorcycle is equipped with a BOSCH 2-channel ABS unit as standard. The bike is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels mated to MRF tyres, which sets it apart from the international-spec Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 that features spoke wheels as standard.
