The FTR 1200 series has been officially launched by the Indian Motorcycles, an American motorcycle brand in the Indian market. The cruiser can be availed in the market in three variants namely FTR 1200, FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica.
The customers can book the FTR 1200 with a token amount of INR 2 lakh. In addition to this, the brand is also offering a leasing scheme for motorcycle enthusiasts in a joint treaty with ORIX, a leasing company. The customers in India can avail the Indian FTR 1200 at a leasing price of INR 39,990 per month for three consecutive years. Here is the official price list of multiple variants of Indian FTR 1200:
Commenting on the launch of FTR 1200 series in India, Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director and Country Head, Polaris India, said: “We continually seek to broaden Indian Motorcycle’s reach to a wider range of riders, and FTR represents a significant step forward in that strategy. With the launch of the FTR 1200 S and the FTR 1200 S Race Replica, we now have a styling motorcycle which has a DNA of flat track racing and is designed for the street.”
Powering the FTR 1200 is a 1,203cc V-Twin cylinder, liquid-cooled, BS4 compliant engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 123 HP and a peak torque of 120 Nm. The motorcycle has been mated to a chain final drive 6-speed transmission. The customers can operate the machine in three riding modes namely Sport, Standard and Rain.
Coming to the front profile of the motorcycles, the brand has taken the styling cues from the FTR 750. The FTR 1200 is based on the same trellis frame while gets sporty ergonomics. The radially mounted dual Brembo brakes are responsible for braking at either end. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by inverted telescopic forks while the rear gets an adjustable monoshock. The motorcycle features a round headlamp design with full LED lighting while gets a 4.3-inch customisable Ride Command LCD touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity.
