Indian Scout Sixty Launched in India @ INR 11,99,000

The 2016 Indian Scout Sixty is now the most affordable Indian Motorcycle in India. Launched at a price of INR 11.99 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Indian Scout Sixty has a lot more to offer than its predecessor. Powered by a Liquid Cooled V-Twin 999cc engine, the Scout Sixty produces a power of 78 mighty horses and a maximum torque of 88.8 NM (65 ft-lbs) at 5800 rpm.

The power is channeled to the road via a 5 speed gearbox. The bike is fitted with the same braking mechanism as its predecessor, the front brake being a Single / 298 mm Rotor / 2 Piston Caliper while the rear is Single /298 mm Rotor / 1 Piston Caliper. The suspension of the bike remains unchanged too. The front is a Telescopic Fork/4.7″ with 120 MM travel while the rear is a Dual Shocks/3.0″ with 76 mm travel.

In terms of dimensions, the Indian Scout Sixty is 2311mm in length, 880mm in width and 1207mm in height. It stretches across a wheelbase of 1562mm and offers a ground clearance of 135mm. The bike weights 246 Kilos (dry) and has a fuel tank capacity of 12.5 liters. The motorcycle comes with a plenty of accessories such as seats, handlebars tailored to the size of each rider, a black seat, matching frame and wheels etc.

The bike is quite lightweight, agile and balanced. Polaris feels that the Scout Sixty will be quite a success in India. The motorcycle priced at INR 11.99 lacs will be available in three colors; Thunder Black, Indian Motorcycle Red and Pearl White. It will available from July 2016.
