After getting the feedback from the prospective buyers in India, Jawa has officially launched the rear disc brake model with 2-Channel ABS. The Classic 300 model has been priced at INR 1.73 lakh while the Jawa 42 can be bought for INR 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom).
Apart from the addition of a rear disc brake and 2-channel ABS, there are no changes in terms the engine specifications and the overall design of the motorcycles. The deliveries of the 2-channel ABS model will begin in June 2019 and the customers who have booked the 1-channel ABS variant can upgrade to the 2-Channe ABS variant without any change in the booking amount.
The motorcycles are powered by a single cylinder 293cc engine, which generates maximum power of 27 bhp and maximum torque of 28 Nm. The engine is liquid-cooled, BS6, fuel-injected, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Classic Legends will launch the much-awaited Jawa Perak Bobber in India in the 2nd half of 2019. The brand recently opened 5 dealerships in India: 2 in Pune and 3 in Bengaluru. Next city on the list is Delhi and it will get the dealerships in the last week of December. Classic Legends recently also started accepting dealer-level offline bookings with a fully refundable token amount of INR 5000.
