Jawa Adventure Motorcycle, most probably falling in the adventure tourer sub-category, will launch in India at Auto Expo 2020. The motorcycle is expected to rival Hero xPulse and Royal Enfield Himalayan, with pricing and engine size falling right in the middle of both these adventure motorcycles. The xPulse will be available in two different variants while Himalayan is seen in the full-blown off-road avatar.
The website of Classic Legends had multiple sketches for Jawa branded motorcycles, out of which first and second sketch came alive through the Roadster (Jawa and Jawa 42) and Bobber (Jawa Perak) body style. The third was an adventure tourer, for which no hint was given at the launch event. Even one of the founder of Classic Legends spoke about the possibility of another body type in the coming years.
The year 2019 will go primarily in the favor of Jawa 300 and Jawa Forty-Two. Perak, the much applauded Bobber, will also start arriving in the dealerships and make a place for itself in the Indian market. The adventure tourer may not get a factory custom status as Jawa will be advertising the same as a regular version with the 293cc engine for cost as well as practicality-enhancing purposes.
The engine for the Jawa Adventure Motorcycle may get a different power delivery curve and offer better low as well as mid-range output. The adventure version will support huge front wheel, long travel suspension and iconic Jawa round headlight for sure. The price will vary with the use of equipment as Jawa may update all their motorcycles with dual disc brakes by 2020.
