Only 3 Jawa Customer Deliveries Got Delayed: Classic Legends reincarnated the Jawa brand in India back in 2018 where 60% of the stake has been held by Mahindra and Mahindra company. Ever since the introduction of the new-gen motorcycles from the brand, Jawa finds itself amidst the majority of misconceptions and complaints regarding the deliveries promised to the customers.
Though being at the harsh end of the fake rumours spread by the media, the brand has officially clarified that the deliveries of the motorcycle were delayed for only 3 customers while the brand has also served them a penalty of INR 500 per day. Apart from those 3 customers, the brand has ensured timely deliveries of the Jawa Forty Two and Jawa Classic motorcycles.
Commenting on the clearing the rumours, Anupam Thareja, Founder, Classic Legends stated – “A total of only three consumers were paid the penalty. Every other buyer of the Jawa got the delivery on the promised date”
Adding to the statement, Mr Thareja commented – “We did go wrong in anticipating the demand which was much higher than what we expected. Making buyers wait for 10 months is never a good thing. We had to increase production to deliver the bikes on time,”
The brand has recently launched the most anticipated Jawa Perak Bobber in the Indian market at a price tag of INR 1.94 lakhs (ex-showroom). The bookings for the bobber from the brand will start from January 1, 2020, while the deliveries will commence after April 2, 2020. Powering the motorcycle is a BS6-compliant 334cc engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 30HP and 31Nm of maximum torque.
