Jawa Dealership Reveals Customised Jawa 42: At present, Classic Legends is selling four models in the Indian markets – Jawa Standard, Jawa 42, Jawa 42 Version 2.1, and the Perak Bobber. Of late, the 2-wheeler dealerships in India have also started offering slightly modified models of regular motorcycles to attract customers and to give a boost to their sales numbers.
In one of the recent updates, a Jawa dealer located in Surat has recently revealed a customised model of Jawa 42 and the dealership is offering the motorcycle at no extra cost. As one can judge from the photos, the customised model is based on the Starlight Blue Jawa 42, which is currently available with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.63 lakhs for the 1-channel ABS version and INR 1.72 lakhs for the 2-channel ABS version.
Talking about the looks, most of the changes have been offered to the fuel tank of the motorcycle. It now features blacked-out sections on both sides in addition to getting tri-coloured lines, similar to the Indian tricolour national flag. On the top section of the fuel tank, there are two additional strips in silver colour and they have a “42 Classic Legends” badging on the left side of the fuel tank.
Mechanically, no changes have been made and the customised Jawa 42 continues to be powered by the same 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, BS6-compliant engine which generates a maximum power output of 26.51 HP and 27.05 Nm of peak torque. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
