A subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra Group – Classic Legends recently launched their third motorcycle in the Indian market named as Perak Bobber. The brand has officially notified that it will start the booking process in January next year while it also said that the delivery process will start somewhere around April 2020. At the launch event of the bike, the officials of the company reported that the test rides for the bike will start in the cities where BS6 fuel is available.
As per one of the recent reports, the test rides for the Jawa Perak Bobber have already started in Mumbai at the Global Jawa, Andheri West. It is expected that the test rides for the bike will also commence at the rest of the dealerships soon.
The bike has been launched at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1,94,500 and the Perak is the first BS6-compliant two-wheeler from Jawa. At present, this motorcycle is also the most powerful model under the Mahindra and Mahindra subsidiary.
Speaking of the technical details of the Jawa Perak Bobber, the bike has been powered by a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that generates a maximum power of 30bhp and a peak torque of 31nm. The engine performs in combination with a 6-speed gearbox.
On exploring the hardware details of the motorcycle, we found out that the Perak bobber is equipped with conventional telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the back. The looks of the Perak Bobber has a retro-style that complements the stealthy look of the bike.
On hitting the Indian market, the Perak Bobber is expected to rival the likes of Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350/500 and the Benelli Imperiale 400. On paper, the first BS6-compliant vehicle by the brand has a performance advantage over its rivals.
