Jawa Perak Bookings to Open Today: Classic Legends will officially start accepting the bookings for the Perak Bobber at 6 PM today for a token amount of INR 10,000. As far as the deliveries of Perak are concerned, the brand has notified earlier that they will commence the delivery process on April 2, 2020.
The Perak was launched in India last year on November 15 with a price tag of INR 1,94,500 (ex-showroom). Mechanically, the Jawa Perak Bobber is powered by a BS6-compliant 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that generates a maximum power of 30HP and a peak torque of 31Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is equipped with dual disc brakes mated to a 2-channel ABS unit as standard.
Talking about the hardware, the suspension duties of the bike are performed by conventional telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the back. The bike comes with a single cantilevered rider’s seat. Jawa has built the Perak Bobber on a double cradle chassis with a longer swingarm when compared to its siblings. Once in the market, the motorcycle will rival with the likes of Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350/500, Bajaj Dominar 400, and the Benelli Imperiale 400.
