A Google report has claimed that Jawa topped the list of the most searched motorcycle in 2018, staying within the top 10 trending motorcycles of the year. The brand entered India in November last year, with Standard 300 and the Forty-Two with a 293cc engine. They promised a 334cc engine under the Perak bobber that will arrive in the second half of 2019.
Apart from Jawa, the list features Apache, Radeon and Ntorq from TVS, Intruder and Burgman Street from Suzuki, xPulse 200, Destini 125 and Xtreme 200R from Hero Motocorp and both the BMW local production motorcycles (G310 series). The immense popularity of Jawa gave them an edge over the others.
Jawa 300 is carrying the iconic design that was first seen on their 250cc motorcycle in India. The present generation engine is good for 27 HP of maximum power and 28 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The first reviews of Jawa 42 and 300 confirmed class-leading quality and performance worth praising.
