Kawasaki India has delivered the country's first Z H2 supercharged streetfighter to a customer in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The new announcement was made via the company's social media platforms. The new Kawasaki Z H2 supercharged motorcycle made its official debut in January 2021, along with the Z H2 SE. The roadsters compete with the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the BMW S1000R and are available in the country at a price starting at Rs 21.90 lakh. The standard Z H2 costs Rs 21.90 lakh, while the premium Z H2 SE, which consists of an electronically adjustable Showa suspension, costs Rs 25.90 lakh.
The motorcycle has been specifically designed with a lighter frame that is easy to handle on the road while at the same time it offers better speed characteristics. The brand has offered the naked motorcycle with various other premium features to stand it apart from its fully-faired sibling.
Powering the Kawasaki Z H2 is a 998cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, inline 4-cylinder engine with an in-house Supercharger and it is capable of generating a maximum power figure of 200HP @ 11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 137Nm @ 8,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The suspension duties on the supercharged motorcycle are handled by separate function front forks from Showa with 120mm travel and spring preload adjustability while the rear features a monoshock unit.
The motorcycle is based on a high-tensile steel trellis frame while it gets a 290mm disc with Brembo M4 monobloc callipers at the front and a 226mm disc with a twin-piston calliper at the rear. The braking system is mated to KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System).
The naked motorcycle is able to offer good mid-range torque due to the revised RAM air intake. The Kawasaki Z H2 has been equipped with a newly-designed exhaust system in addition to a smaller end-can when compared to its fully-faired sibling, the Kawasaki Ninja H2. The rider can operate the supercharged motorcycle in four riding modes namely: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider.
The Kawasaki Z H2 features a complete LED headlight and taillight set up in addition to getting a TFT display console with smartphone connectivity features. Other premium features offered to the street naked motorcycle includes KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control), KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) and cruise control.
