Z1000 is the most-expensive naked street fighter by Kawasaki in India and the BS4 version retails for INR 14.49 lakhs in India (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2017 model of Z1000 is one of the best-looking 1000cc naked street bikes in the World. The bike is powered by a 1043cc 4-cylinder engine, which is good for 140 BHP @ 10,000 rpm of maximum power and 111 NM @ 73,00 rpm of maximum torque.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. There are no major changes in terms of design and looks of the bike. Internationally, Z1000 competes with the likes of KTM 1290 Super Duke R, Suzuki GSX-S1000, Honda CB1000R, Ducati Monster 1200R, and Yamaha FZ-10. Kawasaki has also launched the R version of Z1000 in India at the same launch event today.
Kawasaki and Bajaj tie-up recently came to an end as KTM dealerships are not selling the Green breed of bikes with effect from April 1, 2017. This makes the situation for Kawasaki owners very difficult as they won’t even be able to use the service facility of the KTM showrooms and would need to rely on the limited number of Kawasaki dealerships only. Here is the complete list of New Kawasaki Dealers in India.
