Kawasaki Ninja 400 to be Showcased @ Auto Expo 2018

2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 has been confirmed for the Auto Expo 2018 debut and it is expected to replace Ninja 300 in India by mid-2018. A surprise for bike fans in itself, this 400cc sports tourer is actually more of a cross between Ninja 650 and 300. Still, one can notice those all-new front headlights that look much better than both the available models in India. The side exhaust stays identical to Ninja 300 while same even stays partially true for rear panel and indicator placement inside its fairing. The fascia and fuel tank is inspired from the bigger Ninja 650. Higher placement of handlebar makes it a good option for touring purposes. Kawasaki Ninja 400 uses a powerful 399 cc, parallel twin engine producing 45 HP at 10,000 rpm and 38 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Even though the power value may not sound fascinating, the high amount of torque guarantees a thrill packed ride throughout its rev range. It shares its braking and suspension components with Ninja 300 and thus, single 290 mm disc brake is offered for the front wheel. It feels more exciting with just 174 kg of wet weight for the ABS equipped model. Front comes with 110/70-17 while rear uses 150/60-17 tyre for maximum traction. When launched in India, Kawasaki may place the same between INR 3.75-4.25 lakh, solely depending on the availability of ABS or non ABS model. Kawasaki fans who are stuck at Ninja 300 would get a chance to explore reasonable amount of power gain and may not need to spend an extra INR 1 lakh to buy Ninja 650. Features like slipper clutch and economical riding indicator will help rider enjoy every road condition in a better way than before. Ninja 400 is currently available in UK in Metallic Spark Black and KRT Edition only. Other shades may follow in the next update for this extremely effective sports tourer.
