The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 has been launched in India at an effective price of Rs. 9.99 lakhs, same as the last-gen model of 1000cc Ninja. The bike gets only minor cosmetic changes and is being assembled as an SKD i.e, semi-knocked down product at the company’s Pune facility.
The bike draws its design inspiration from the Ninja H2 and the ZX-10R and as a result, gets some top features like chin spoilers and dual LED headlights. Inside the two-piece fairing is a 1043cc 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, in-line 4, Euro 4 compliant engine that produces 142 HP of maximum power at 10,000 rpm, and 111 Nm of maximum torque at 7300 rpm.
This motor comes matched to a 6-speed gearbox with Assist & Slipper Clutch. Underpinnings like the suspension and brakes remain identical to the previous model. Some of the electronic aids on offer are 2-channel ABS, 3-mode Kawasaki Traction Control, ride-by-wire and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) along with ample and low and mid-range torque.
The New 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 will continue to be available in two colours: Black and Green. The bookings are open and customers can visit their nearest dealership to inquire about the 2019 Ninja 1000.
