The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 Carbon is now officially on-sale in India. It has been priced at INR 41 lakh, with a rise in the price of almost INR 1.20 lakh from the previous model year. There is a smaller fairing on the bike when it is put against the regular superbikes. There is an increased power in the bike, producing 31 hp over its previous generation, with an additional 12 hp available with the Ram Air assistance. The 998cc 4-stroke inline-four liquid-cooled engine with the supercharger produces a maximum power of 231 hp at 11,500 rpm and a peak torque of 141.7 Nm at 11,000 rpm.
The Ninja H2 Carbon inherits the frame, finished in green, from the Ninja H2R. The H2 Carbon is from the flagship series of Kawasaki and it gets the build quality from the H2R as well. The instrument panel on the H2 Carbon is a TFT LCD screen that has an analogue tachometer and a digital display for the other technologically advanced features that are displayed graphically in full colour. There are four display modes, allowing the user to customize how they want to prioritize the different pieces of information displayed. The instrument cluster also offers connectivity options with smartphones.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 Carbon makes use of carbon fibre for the upper cowl of the bike. This is the key distinguishing feature between the H2 and the H2R. The material is extremely lightweight and quite rigid as well. The single seat on the Ninja H2R eliminates the possibility of a pillion rider and makes the bike totally rider-centric. Other features include Brembo brakes with cornering management, Bosch IMU with traction control, and a 6-axis inertia management system. The alloys on the H2 Carbon are Pentastar shaped, and look quite appealing to the eyes being finished in black and chrome.
