According to a report from ACI, the bookings for the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R have been commenced in India across several Kawasaki dealerships. The brand is offering only limited production units of the updated motorcycle while the price tag of the ZX-14R remains the same as that of the 2017 variant at INR 19.70 lakh (ex-showroom India).
The reports also suggest that the bookings for the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R will be open for a few days only while the deliveries will also commence shortly. The brand is offering a limited window for availing the 2020 Ninja ZX-14R since they want to clear out the stocks of BS4 variant of the motorcycle before the implementation of the new emission norms in India from April 1, 2020.
There are no changes in terms of the design except for the colour scheme as the MY2020 ZX-14R is available in an all-new Metallic Diablo Black/Golden Blazed Green colour combination. The new colour variant features a host of blackened out body panels which replaces the green panels as seen on the last-gen model.
Apart from the new colour scheme, the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged. Powering the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R is the same 1441cc, four-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 200HP and a peak torque of 158.2Nm. The brand may also update the motorcycle with a Euro 5/BS6-compliant engine in the coming months in addition to offering various new features to the next iteration of the fully-faired sports tourer motorcycle.
