2020 Kawasaki Z900 with BS4 Engine Launched in India @ INR 7.99 Lakh

The 2020 Kawasaki Z900 has been launched in India at a price tag of INR 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand is promoting the streetfighter as a Special Edition model and it will be available in limited numbers. Surprisingly, for a few weeks, Kawasaki India is offering the 2020 model of Z900 with the same BS4-compliant engine that is good for a maximum power of 125HP @ 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 98.6Nm @ 7,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The BS4 2020 Kawasaki Z900 can be booked by making a full payment till March 20, 2020, while the deliveries are expected to begin by end of this month. According to the brand, the bike will be produced in limited quantity and the bookings will be closed after reaching targeted numbers. The BS4 Z900 (2020) is available in two colours: Metallic Graphite Gray/Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black.

Kawasaki will be launching the BS6-compliant 2020 model of the Z900 in April with a price tag ranging between INR 8.50 lakh to INR 9.00 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from being equipped with a BS4 engine, the 2020 Z900 Special Edition remains the same in terms of the design and features. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with 41mm USD forks at the front with preload adjustability and a horizontal back-link monoshock unit at the rear.

The handling of the motorcycle has been further refined with the use of Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres. In terms of braking, the 2020 Kawasaki Z900 Special Edition is equipped with 300mm petal disc brakes at the front with 4-piston callipers and a 250mm single disc brake at the rear with single-piston calliper.

The 2020 Kawasaki Z900 Special Edition has been graced with a new USB power socket just under the seat in addition to a new 10.9cm TFT colour display with Bluetooth connectivity that allows the rider to connect their smartphone with it and manage the riding statistics and other motorcycle information including distance covered, fuel left and more. The brand has also offered the 2020 model of the BS4-compliant Z900 with a three-level traction control system, 2 power modes, and 4 riding modes namely Sport, Road, Rain, and Manual.
