2021 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Launched in India
The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 650 has been launched in India and the brand has officially revealed the price range of the updated BS6-compliant motorcycle. According to the official press release, the BS6 Ninja 650 will be getting a price range of INR 6.45 lakh to INR 6.75 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the current-gen BS4 version of the Ninja 650 is available in the market at a price tag of INR 5.89 lakhs.
The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 650 has been equipped with a host of additional features in addition to getting minor cosmetic changes. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with a split LED headlight design while the overall body fairing has also been revised to offer the motorcycle a rather sturdy appeal. The updated model of the Ninja 650 has been further equipped with a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity that can be paired to the rider’s smartphone via a dedicated Kawasaki application.
Powering the motorcycle is a BS6-compliant 649cc, parallel-twin engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 67.2HP and a peak torque of 64Nm. Though the power output remains the same with the addition of a BS6-compliant engine, the torque has been reduced by 1.7Nm when compared to the BS4 version. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission.
