2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 Revealed; Coming to India Next Year

Kawasaki has added two new motorcycles to its lineup for launch in 2022, and these motorcycles are the next-generation Versys 650 and 650 LT models. Both models undergo considerable changes, the majority of which emphasise technology and comfort refinements, as well as a design makeover, although they remain basically unaltered in terms of core characteristics such as chassis and engine architecture.

In terms of mechanical specifications, the official revelation at the EICMA confirms that the bike will retain the tractable 649cc parallel-twin engine and a steel frame with long-travel Showa suspension. This engine is compatible with Euro 5 emission standards and is capable of churning out 65.7 hp at 8500 rpm and 60.7 nm of torque at 7000 rpm.

Looking at the updates, the 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 gets traction control, which appears for the first time on this model. The KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) system employs multiple data inputs to dial in optimum traction, with riders able to alter the system’s settings in two different ways. In addition, the ABS system is standard on the motorcycle.

Other notable features include a 4.3-inch colour TFT instrument console which is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and Kawasaki’s Rideology The App, a new four-position windshield, new LED headlights and a USB outlet. Speaking about the motorcycle’s expectations to come to our country, it could be launched in India anytime next year.
