Aurum Kawasaki (Delhi) has delivered the first 2021 BS6 Ninja 650 in India to Mr Sanjay Kumar. The updated BS6-compliant model has been recently launched in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 6.24 lakhs while the on-road price in Delhi stands at INR 7.04 lakhs.
The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 650 has been equipped with a host of additional features in addition to getting minor cosmetic changes. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with a split LED headlight design while the overall body fairing has also been revised to offer the motorcycle a rather sturdy appeal. The updated model of the Ninja 650 has been further equipped with a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity that can be paired to the rider’s smartphone via a dedicated Kawasaki application.
Powering the motorcycle is a BS6-compliant 649cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 68 HP @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 64 Nm @ 6700 rpm. Though the power output remains the same with the upgradation to meet the BS6 emission norms, the torque has been reduced by 1.7Nm when compared to the BS4 version. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission.
