Kawasaki and Bajaj tie-up has finally came to an end as KTM won’t be selling the Green breed of bikes from their dealerships from April 1, 2017. This makes the situation for Kawasaki owners very difficult as they won’t even be able to use the service facility of the KTM showrooms and would need to rely on the limited number of Kawasaki dealerships only.
Kawasaki recently launched new Ninja 650, Z650 and Z900 in India, but it won’t be an easy job for them to attract the buyers after this news. The buyers from tier 2 and tier 3 cities are going to face worst experience because Kawasaki is yet to open sales and service outlets in this category of cities in India. A lot of Kawasaki owners shared their bad experience on social media after the split between Bajaj and Kawasaki.
Kawasaki-Bajaj sales & service tie-up comes to an end
The same was a big advantage to KTM as the customer would come in for buying the Ninja series of motorcycle and go out with the Orange rider in his possession. They are most of the times lured by the price difference and change their decision due to many other reasons like waiting or non availability of bikes in their Probiking dealership.
KTM, on the other hand will benefit from both the sides as they will get some extra space for the newcomer (250 Duke) in their showrooms. The tie-up between Bajaj and Kawasaki will come to an end on April 1, 2017 and the same is applicable for the services through the network. KTM dealers have even halted the stocking of Kawasaki parts.
