2018 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Bookings Open in India: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R will soon enter local assembly and receive mouth watering cut in its price for the Indian market.
The bookings for the 2018 model are now open with a token amount of INR 3 lakh. The reduction is price will be pretty visible as Kawasaki recently sold last few units of ZX-10R with huge discounts.
These were offered to clear remaining stocks and thus, next batch will arrive with ”Assembled in India” sticker. If they keep the same charm alive as Ninja 1000, one can expect the price to fall under INR 14 lakh, making it even more affordable than Honda CBR1000RR at INR 14.78 lakh.
Reduction in CBU duties brought Honda CBR1000RR down to this price. Kawasaki will use SKD route and thus, will definitely see much more reduction in pricing.
However, they are not planning to localize the bike yet. The new Kawasaki facility in Chakan will assemble these kits from Japan and one can even expect lower pricing for track spec Ninja ZX-10RR. Last few units were sold with INR 4 lakh worth discounts.
Ninja ZX-10R is powered by a 998cc, four cylinder engine producing 200 PS at 13,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The machine has been used to win World Superbike Championship for last three years by their team.
It weighs just 206 kg and offers 835mm of high, track specific seat height. Riders get top spec equipment like Brembo brakes and Showa Balance Free Forks as standard on this bike. One can expect the bike to arrive at dealerships around the end of this month or early next month.
