Kawasaki Motorcycles to Get Expensive in India Soon

Kawasaki has announced an ex-showroom price hike of approx 7% across the 650cc lineup, also including the powerful Ninja 400 for a similar hike. On the other hand, bikes that belong to a higher segment will see a 5% increase in their prices from April 1, 2019. The price hike on Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Versys-X300 is yet to be disclosed. Apart from bringing the price hike on their official website on April 1, the brand is expected to remove all the models that are not available through the dealerships, yet are listed from a long time. The models that are most likely to leave the Indian market includes Ninja ZX-14R, Z1000R, Z1000 and Z250.

The first three of them are expected to enter later through the local assembly route, rivalling none other than mighty Suzuki Hayabusa and recently introduced litre-class Honda CB1000R+. The decline in popularity of the quarter-litre models and international availability of Z400 confirms that the smaller displacement motorcycle has no future. The currently available offer with zero percent interest on Kawasaki models may also be available till March 31. The introduction of litre-class Versys 1000 and Ninja ZX-6R further improved their placement against the rivals. The latter is as unique as something can get for the buyers in India.

Those who were planning to get a Kawasaki bike in the next few weeks may prefer getting the motorcycle as soon as possible. The hike in pricing will approx bring INR 38,000 worth jump in the price of Ninja 650 and thus, imagining the same on Ninja 1000 will get you an idea of how much extra will you need to spend after a short period of time. The new prices will be available from April 1. Not just Kawasaki, but almost the entire industry will be seen revising the prices due to the addition of ABS to the lineup.
