Deliveries of Locally Assembled Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Begins in India

Kawasaki has commenced the deliveries of locally assembled Ninja ZX-10R in India. The motorcycle is now affordable than ever, dropping INR 6 lakh from its price tag and retailing for INR 12.80 lakh. The price tag was earlier good for just touring bikes with middleweight category displacement. Ninja ZX-10R, priced lower than a Suzuki Hayabusa, is the best selling 1000cc motorcycle of India with 100 units sold in a record time when compared to other premium bikes in India. Without even a tough comparison, one can guess that it takes more effort for Mahindra to find a buyer for Mojo in India than the liter-class superbike.

They have even started deliveries for the locally assembled ZX-10RR in India. Anzen Kawasaki has delivered one unit each of the premium motorcycle on August 3, 2018. Both these motorcycles are sold as single seat units in the country, skipping the homologation process that comes into account with a rear. The rear cowl can be replaced with a seat for an additional amount, counting as an accessory in the real world but, proving as a practical option for those who love riding with a pillion. Kawasaki ZX-10R is powered by a 998cc, four-cylinder inline engine, producing 200 hp at 13,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm at 11,500 rpm.

The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox, assisted with slipper clutch for a smoother shifting experience. Kawasaki ZX-10RR comes with multi-level power modes, quick-shifter, ABS with cornering management, engine braking control, and many added accessories over the standard version. The inertial management unit controls all the functionality, switching everything on and off on user demand on the track. The additional set of equipment includes Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires, Marchesini wheels, and different engine head design. Ninja ZX-10RR is more affordable than CBU superbikes of India.
