Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is no more the most well-placed sportbike of India, getting itself a price hike of INR 1.50 lakh from the existing price. The new price tag of INR 14.30 lakh is almost similar to the one seen on Honda CBR1000R, again forcing buyers to reconsider their preferences in terms of SuperSport performance. The reason for this price hike remains unknown, taking Kawasaki back into the league of ordinary superbike brands with nothing much different to offer. If power is not your sole purpose for motorcycling, Ducati Panigale 959 also comes close to the price tag.
Ninja ZX-10R comes with a 998cc, four-cylinder engine, producing 197.3 BHP at 13,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It is also possible that Kawasaki could update this motorcycle to the new 2019 trim before restarting the booking process and offer the more powerful and lighter version for INR 14.30 lakh. Still, the charm that appeared on the faces of fans will be gone soon. The closest rival, Honda CBR1000RR, is priced at INR 14.78 lakh. The liter-class sportbike offers 196 kg of wet weight and 189 BHP of max power.
