Kawasaki W175 Quick Walkaround and Exhaust Sound Video

Kawasaki India has been eyeing a mass-market segment that the Japanese sports bike manufacturer has yet to explore. Kawasaki launched the W175 motorcycle in India on September 25th. The retro-style roadster is currently the most affordable Kawasaki bike in the country.

Dino’s Vault on YouTube has provided us with a walkaround video of the Kawasaki W175. Dino attended the launch event, and here are some of the details he discusses in the video.

As previously predicted, the price of this made-in-India motorcycle is competitive. It is designed for Indian bikers with Indian conditions in mind. The design is derived from the 50-year-old W lineage, which carries the W legacy. With this latest launch, Kawasaki is attempting to capture a piece of the sub-200cc market.

The fuel tank on the red variant is a bright red colour with a Kawasaki W logo on it. The black variant has a different branding logo and the tank pad is all black in colour. It has halogen headlamps and taillamps, and standard turn indicators. The black rims complement the overall appearance of this retro bike. It has a sturdy design with a ribbed tank pad setting that provides an extra grip.

A semi-digital console displays the fuel gauge, speedometer, odometer, clock, and ABS indicator in the instrument cluster. A high beam flasher and an engine kill switch are also included in the W175.

It has 30mm telescopic forks, a 245mm disc brake, and single-channel ABS at the front. Twin shock absorbers with a drum brake at the rear are on offer by Kawasaki. It has a single-piece cushioned seat and 17-inch Ceat tyres with 80/100 front and 100/90 rear sections.

Kawasaki W175 is powered by a 177cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This BS6-compliant engine comes with a 5-speed transmission that generates 13 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 13.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm of maximum output.

Kawasaki W175 comes in two colours: Ebony Black and Candy Persimmon Red. The black variant is priced at Rs 1.47 lakhs, while the Special Edition colour is priced at Rs 1.49 lakhs.
