Keeway Cruiser All Set To Enter The Indian Market On 17th May

Keeway is a UK based automaker and is a subsidiary just like Benelli of the Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Group Co. QJ Group and Benelli have been in the news for a while now for their complete powertrain refresh as QJ has been on a spree patenting its new engines which are reportedly inspired by the KTM series.

The Hungarian automaker is popular across the world for its small cruisers, scooters, street bikes and off-road bikes predominantly powered by the 125cc engines. Keeway is all set for its debut in the Indian market on the 17th of May this year. From the teaser, the Keeway cruiser seems like the K-Lite series and given that the Benelli and Keeway are under the same QJ Group, it can most likely get the twin cylinders and dual exhausts can also be seen in that teaser.

Benelli 502C can be the best platform to build this new Keeway product, considering it also houses a BS6-compliant engine. The 500cc Benelli produces a maximum output of 47.5 PS and 46 Nm, but these numbers could change to fit their vision for the Keeway product.

If the upcoming Keeway draws inspiration from the existing K-Lite series, then we can expect the design and style to be the same simplistic low-slung with a single piece seat unit. Slim tank ends in 2 side panels and a short mudguard following it, a rear tyre hugger with the number plate holder. Mostly, which has also been seen in the Benelli 502C. They might pair the tyres with alloy wheels and disc brakes at both ends, it also might get the round lamps at both ends and a flat handlebar.

It is likely to go against the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 in the Indian market. The price is not known because the specs are not clear yet, but if they offer it with the 500cc engine, then definitely it can be priced at around INR 5 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
