While Keeway revealed the costs of their scooters last week, they remained tight-lipped on the price of their K-Light 250V cruiser. The projected pricing of this Hungarian V-twin cylinder motorcycle, however, has been divulged by a dealer source. Prices in other cities are estimated to be Rs 3.50 lakh in Delhi, Rs 3.65 lakh in Chennai, Rs 3.70 lakh in Pune, and Rs 3.80 lakh in Bangalore, and Rs 3.92 lakh in Hyderabad (price may vary as per the colour of the bike).
Based on these figures, the 250cc V-twin cruiser should cost roughly Rs 3.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The Matte Blue, Matte Black, and Matte Grey versions of the K-Light will be available. The Keeway K Lite 250V is set to hit dealerships before the end of this month.
This motorcycle is powered by a 249cc V-twin engine that produces 18.9 HP and 19 Nm. The front suspension is telescopic, and the rear is equipped with dual shocks. This bike is held together by disc brakes on both ends, which are mounted on 16-inch alloy wheels. The style of the K-Light 250V is evocative of the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob, with its feet-ahead riding position and general low slung shape.
While there is no direct competitor of this bike, the closest rival is the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220, which has a cruiser-style appearance and similar power figures. More crucially, at Rs 1,37,805, it is far less expensive. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is another option in the sub-400cc cruiser segment. Despite its high price, the Keeway K-Lite 250V is India’s most affordable V-twin motorbike.
