Kolkata Police to Replace Royal Enfield with TVS Apache RTR in its Fleet

Kolkata Police will soon replace its Royal Enfield fleet with TVS Apache. The complete fleet will be replaced in the coming months. These are the ones that will be in use for patrolling while the Harley Davidson Street 750s would only be used for VIP escorting. TVS Apache is easier to maintain, faster when compared to Bullet and much more city friendly than the 350cc Bullet. Although this can be seen as a downgrade, this may help them keep the cost under check. royal-enfield-bullet-500 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is one muscular motorcycle that is considered superior over the others due to its tendency to generate power in accessible range. The 346 cc, single cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 19.8 BHP and 28 Nm of torque. This makes it quite more powerful than other bikes around its segment. Those who are ones attached to the driving style of Bullet find it very difficult to get over the same. It costs INR 1.25 lakh (approx, on-road) and comes without an electric starter.

Harley Davidson Street 750 is the only motorcycle in the company lineup that is produced fully in India. The twin cylinder motorcycle is quite powerful as 59 Nm of torque arrives even earlier than the Bullet 350. TVS Apache can be bought in three different engine sizes (160, 180 and 200) and a wide variety of gloss and matte shades. Apache RTR 200 can be bought for around INR 1 lakh (on-road approx) while the 160cc version is quite inexpensive at INR 84,000 (on-road approx). Royal-Enfield-Apache-RTR
