2017 KTM 250 Duke has been officially launched in India for INR 1,73,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle shares most of its parts with the bigger 390 Duke. It is powered by a single cylinder, liquid cooled and fuel injected 248.8 cc engine that is good for 30 PS and 24 Nm. The engine comes mated to 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The new design language makes sure that the KTM 250 Duke carries the bigger 13.5 liter steel fuel tank.

The motorcycle comes in two shades namely White and Orange. The alloy wheels surprisingly stay Black on the newcomer. KTM smartly skipped ABS from the international version and launched the same with same braking system as the bigger 390 Duke. The motorcycle misses on the ride by wire throttle system and gets halogen headlight in its front 390 style headlight unit. They have provided the bull horn style DRL’s with the bike.
The motorcycle comes with the same side exhaust as the bigger Duke. The availability of 2017 KTM 250 Duke will bridge the large INR 82,230 gap between the 200 Duke and 390 Duke. It is closer on the 200’s side as both are differentiated with a price gap of INR 29,500. KTM has skipped the option of Metzeler tyres on the new motorcycle. The KTM series now consists of 5 bikes in total and all of them are BS4 compliant before April 2017.
