2017 KTM Duke 390 Special Edition Unveiled

2017 KTM 390 Duke was recently launched in Philippines for PHP 2,68,000 (approx INR 3,46,000). The motorcycle carries a special edition tag with Blue, Red and White inserts into the paint, resembling the colors used in Philippines flag. The huge KTM moniker is seen in White while Blue has been placed on the tank shrouds at perfect spacing. Red can be seen on the sides of fuel tank itself. Apart from the visual changes, no difference can be spotted in a standard and special edition KTM 390 Duke.

390 Duke is built in India and exported to all other markets in a planned manner. The price is even on the higher side in most nations except India. It carries the same metal 13.4 liter fuel tank, all-new sub frame, sharp design and excellent front LED light. It is highly inspired from the 1290 Super Duke and carries the same sort of stance in its built. The motorcycle weighs 149 kg (dry) and comes with an all new side exhaust in place of the underbelly unit. It is retailed through a partner named Ayala Group in Philippines.

The 373.3 cc, single cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 43.5 PS and 37 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and claims a sprint time from 0-100 kmph in under 6 seconds. Philippines currently follow the CKD route for four KTM models and plans to take the annual assembly number to 10,000 units. It is undoubtedly the best motorcycle of its segment, carrying first in class features like ride by wire, full LED headlight and TFT instrument console with KTM MyRide.
