2017 KTM Duke Series – All You Need to Know

KTM surprised everyone with the 3 product launch of their Duke series in India on February 23. Most of the fans are confused at this moment and decision making for the future motorcycle is quite tough at this stage. Here is a detailed description of everything in the Duke series. # 2017 KTM 200 Duke (INR 1,43,500)

2017 KTM 200 Duke is actually the same motorcycle that was on sale from last few years. The only change that can be seen is the availability of Orange alloy wheels and 3 new shades (Orange, Black and White) with new graphics/stickers. The money you spend on the 200 Duke brings 199.5cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine that is good for 25 PS at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm at 8000 rpm.

The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox while the motorcycle weighs 148 kg. It comes with 10.2 liter fuel tank capacity. The motorcycle comes with USD forks, WP rear suspension and MRF tyres. The brakes are non-ABS type that measure 300 mm disc for the front and 230 mm disc for the rear wheel. It uses halogen front headlight and same old instrument console as in the 2016 version.

It is powered by 248.8 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine that is good for 30 PS at 9000 rpm and 24 Nm at 7500 rpm. It uses the same suspension, brakes and instrument console as used on the 200 Duke. It is available in 2 shades, Orange and White. 2017 KTM 250 Duke comes with non-ABS type disc brakes at both ends. It uses MRF tyres and the same old instrument console as 200 Duke. If you still feel that something is missing from your dream bike, get ready to spend extra INR 52,730 over the 250 Duke for the 2017 KTM 390 Duke.

The flagship Indian Duke has got even better with its new update. It now comes with the updated 373.2 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine, producing 43.5 PS at 9000 rpm and 37 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets all those features that are available on the lower spec 250 Duke while even gets an addition of class leading features within itself. It can just be bought in Orange shade as KTM may have kept the White for a later stage. If you spend INR 52,730 above the price of 250 Duke, you will get the following features.
