2017 KTM RC200 has been launched in India at INR 1,71,740 (Ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle undergoes cosmetic changes while mechanical features remain exactly the same as the 2016 version. The engine on the motorcycle is now BS4 compliant and produces the same output as the earlier model. The All-Black approach of the RC200 has now been switched to White and Orange on the 2017 version.

The side fairing of the motorcycle is White while the connecting panel gets finished in Gloss Black. The fuel tank is now finished in White with Orange and Black stripe on the top. The rear panel below the seat now carries Gloss Black stickers on it. The motorcycle even gets 12 mm of added padding to the rear seat, making rides easier for the pillion also. Riding position remains the same in 2017 KTM RC200.
The engine powering the RC 200 remains the same 199.5 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected unit producing 25 PS at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The bike weighs 154 kg and carries the same 300mm/230mm disc brake combo for the braking duties. Sadly, KTM has still not equipped the RC 200 with ABS (Anti-lock Braking system), it is not even optional! The alloy wheels are finished Orange while the front fascia remains completely the same as 2016 model. The motorcycle rivals Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and Honda CBR250R in its segment.
