2020 KTM Duke 250 On-Road Price Revealed; Official Launch Soon

In addition to the unveiling of the price tag of BS6 KTM Duke 390, the Austrian brand has also revealed the price of the 2020 KTM Duke 250. Getting a premium of just INR 3000 over its BS4 price tag, the BS6 KTM Duke 250 will now be available in the market at a price tag of INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom).

Coming to the cosmetic changes, the brand has offered the motorcycle with new dual-tone colour schemes namely black/orange and grey/black in addition to new body graphics. The minimal price increase for the BS6-compliant motorcycle can be justified as the motorcycle was already equipped with a fuel-injected engine while the brand has only imparted it with a new catalytic converter to comply with the more strict emission norms that will implement in the country from April 1, 2020.

Apart from these, the 2020 KTM Duke 250 remains similar to its BS4 avatar when it comes to the overall styling as well as other mechanical bits. Powering the motorcycle is a BS6-compliant 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine though the new power and torque values have not been revealed as of yet.

Since the new engine has been tweaked according to the more strict BS6 emission norms, one can certainly expect the performance figures to be revised by a bit. At present, the BS4 KTM Duke 250 is capable of offering maximum power of 30HP @ 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 24Nm @ 7500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The braking duties on the 2020 KTM Duke 250 are handled by the same disc brakes at either end mated to a dual-channel ABS unit by BOSCH. The updated motorcycle features USD forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a monoshock unit. Here is the official price list of the 2020 KTM Duke 250.
