The first-ever official images of the upcoming 2020 KTM RC 200 and RC 390 India-spec models have surfaced online. The upcoming motorcycle variants will be launched in India with a BS6-compliant engine. In addition to this, the Austrian manufacturer is also expected to launch its updated BS6-compliant KTM RC 125 in the coming days.
Coming to the official images, the updated motorcycle variants look more or less similar to their international counterparts, though some minor cosmetic changes have been offered to the graphics on the side fairing. Apart from this, both the 2020 KTM RC 200 and RC 390 will be available to the customers in all-new vibrant colour schemes.
According to the recently released teaser video from the brand, the upcoming 2020 KTM RC range will cater to the audience looking for more street-racer inspired motorcycles as well as splendid performance. In terms of changes imparted to the updated RC 200 and RC 390, both the motorcycles now feature a commanding RC branding with larger “200” and “390” decals. In addition to this, the orange detailing is now absent at the lower edges of the updated machines.
The 2020 KTM RC 200 will now be available to the customers in an all-new black/orange colour which certainly offers it a sportier look just like the recently updated KTM Duke 200. The blacked-out trellis frame accentuated its overall profile while the new orange detailing at the rear complements it further. In addition to this, the updated motorcycle will now be equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.
Similarly, the 2020 KTM RC 390 will be available to the customers in a white/black colour scheme in addition to getting minor cosmetic changes. The updated motorcycle is expected to feature a revised instrument panel while the overall look remains more or less similar to the current-gen BS4 model.
All the 2020 KTM RC variants have been equipped with an additional catalytic converter to comply with the more stringent BS6 emission norms while the crankcase is now fully revealed to offer better cooling.
There has been no information on the revised power and torque values of the 2020 KTM RC 200 and RC 390 though one can expect them to be similar to the ones generated by BS4 avatars. The updated motorcycles are expected to get a premium of INR 10,000 – INR 15,000 when compared to the present-gen BS4 versions.
