2021 KTM Duke 390 Spotted; Official Debut @ EICMA 2020

The 2021 KTM Duke 390 has been recently spotted testing outside India. The test mule of the motorcycle has been stripped down while it features a host of mechanical changes. One can expect the updated variant of the motorcycle to officially debut at the EICMA in November 2020 though the Indian market is likely to get the motorcycle sometime in 2021.

KTM is on a launching spree from the past few months with the introduction of certain new motorcycle variants as well as offering BS6 updates to its existing portfolio. Coming to the 2021 KTM Duke 390, the brand is likely to revise the front USD forks of the motorcycle to improve the riding abilities while the leaked image promises a revised swingarm with new rear suspension setup.

In addition to this, one can also lookout for a new exhaust system that will be differently tuned when compared to the current-gen model. Since the model is entirely stripped down, one cannot comprehend if any cosmetic changes have been made to the upcoming motorcycle.

Though the overall design language of the motorcycle is expected to be retained by the brand, one can surely expect new style revisions to stand it apart from the present-gen KTM Duke 390 variant.

In addition to this, the brand is presently expected to launch the BS6-compliant variant of the current-gen KTM Duke 390 in the coming weeks. At present, powering the motorcycle is a BS4-compliant 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 43.5HP @ 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 37Nm @ 7000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The disc brakes set up at either side is mated to a dual-channel ABS as standard. The brand is further expected to offer traction control system as well as other riding aids to the updated 2021 KTM Duke 390, which are expected to be similar to the ones offered on the KTM 390 Adventure that is expected to be officially launched in the Indian market soon.
