2022 KTM 390 Adventure With Different Riding Modes Debuts Officially in India

The Austrian bikemaker, KTM, has launched its new 390 Adventure in the Indian market after a long wait. The brand has launched the entry-level adventure bike with two riding modes and a new paint scheme comprising KTM Factory Racing Blue and Dark Galvano Black. The KTM 390 Adventure is now available in the country with a price tag of Rs 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom) and the bookings have also commenced already.

The 390 Adventure has been upgraded with street and off-road riding modes, as well as different levels of traction control. Off-road mode allows for some rear-wheel slip to make the bike simpler to handle in slick or rainy conditions. Even if you have a momentary stall or tumble, the off-road traction control will stay enabled. The traction control settings on the previous model would revert to the default settings in the event of a crash or the user stopping the motor when riding off-road.

Another distinction is the alloy wheels, which now have five spokes instead of six in the previous model. According to the manufacturer, they provide “improved stiffness and resistance for the rims.As for visual updates, the brand has kept the motorcycle untouched and it continues with the lean-sensitive ABS, a large 14.5-litre fuel tank, and a full-colour TFT screen that offers Bluetooth connectivity. Although the addition of Dakar Rally machines inspired shades is an eminent add on.

One more feature that has been kept unchanged is the engine. It is still driven by a 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC engine that produces 42.3bhp at 9,000 rpm and 37Nm of max torque at 7,000rpm. This engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission. The KTM 390 Adventure still lacks adjustable front forks, instead opting for an adjustable mono-shock and WP Apex USD forks.
