KTM has officially announced the production replica for RC16 MotoGP bike and confirmed it for launch in 2018. The limited production bike will get 100 units and it would be track based purely. The replica will ensure that the thrill of MotoGP is carried over to track racing, putting out 240 PS into the liter class motorcycle for life like experience for non MotoGP riders. The design of the bike is still in the works.

They even cleared that affordability will be one of the important factor in its making, hinting the price to be around 1,00,000-1,20,000 Euros. KTM machines are known for their notoriously high 270 PS but they won’t be putting such power into the MotoGP replica. The current generation bike looks 100 percent practical but we can expect hyper aerodynamic efficiency from the nest generation.
KTM may even slot some units for India while the bike will primarily rival the Honda RC213V-S. The taste of extreme power and handling of MotoGP class is one thing while those whoa re on strict budgets and lower needs, the upcoming 2017 KTM 390 Duke will be nothing less than a rocket on the Indian roads. Buyers will get world class technology including colored TFT instrument console and LED headlights.
