BS3 KTM Duke 390 Available for Rs 1.50 lakhs (On-Road)

KTM Duke 390 is undoubtedly the best performing motorcycle of its segment. The recent launch of the 2017 variant made many fans happy with that enhanced design while some were more attached to the older design. Those who were planning to buy the 2016 KTM 390 Duke and somehow missed it have the last chance on their side.

A recent report by IceAgeOnWheels on Facebook suggests that a KTM dealer (KTM Boisar, Maharashtra) is offering the last-generation BS3 Duke 390 at an on-road price of just INR 1.50 lakh. Some reports even suggest the price is now even more tempting @ Rs 1.30 lakhs on-road! Still confused about the sale? Here the right story.

These motorcycles have been registered by the showroom owners before the deadline of April 1, 2017 and are sold unofficially as used motorcycles through the dealerships. They have zero kilometers on the odometer but would be registered under your name with you as the second owner of the motorcycle.

Well, one who genuinely needs the Duke 390 in its old avatar won’t mind this as it saves around INR 1 lakh from the actual price of the current generation KTM Duke. Once these are sold, there won’t be any chance for unused older Duke 390.

The bikes are actually the property of their respective owners (dealers in most cases) and they are being offered with benefits like registration and insurance. Numbers are limited and not every dealer has this kind of stock with them.

Feel lucky if you get your hands on one of them as they were the last generation of Duke 390 to carry the under-belly exhaust and lightweight body. The current generation of 390 Duke is 11 kg heavier than the older one while you will miss the new design, console and headlight on the 2016 Duke.

KTM 390 Duke is powered by the same 373.2 cc, single cylinder engine producing 43.5 PS and 37 Nm of torque. The older version produced 35 Nm of torque while its lower weight made it equally better in sprinting. For those who are shorter in built, the old 390 Duke has a lower seat height while siting position is even better in its case. Although it comes with a smaller fuel tank, its iconic design makes it the favorite among riding community. If you wish to get one for yourself, ask for the same from your nearest dealership.
