After being spotted recently at a dealership, the ex-showroom price tag of the BS6 KTM Duke 250 has surfaced online. According to a report by Autocar India, the updated model of the 250cc Duke will launch with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 2 lakh, getting a price hike of just INR 3000 in comparison to the BS4-compliant model of the motorcycle. The report further suggests that the BS6 KTM Duke 250 will get an on-road price tag of around INR 2.35 lakh (approximate).
The BS6 model got a minimal price hike as the motorcycle was already equipped with a fuel-injected engine and the brand has only made changes to the catalytic converter of the exhaust system to meet the upcoming emission norms that will be implemented in the Indian market on April 1, 2020. As we reported earlier, the BS6 KTM Duke 250 will be available in two updated colours combinations.
As far as the launch and deliveries are concerned, the BS6 model of the KTM Duke 250 will launch in the coming days while the deliveries of the motorcycle are expected to commence from next month.
At present, we don’t have any details regarding the power and torque values of the BS6-compliant model of the Duke 250. For reference, the BS4-compliant model of the streetfighter is good for 30 HP of maximum power at 9000 rpm along with 24 NM of maximum torque at 7500 rpm.
Apart from the addition of the BS6-compliant engine and the new colour options, the 2020 model of the motorcycle remains the same in terms of looks and style. As far the key features are concerned, the 2020 BS6 KTM Duke 250 continues to be equipped with 2-channel ABS, slipper clutch, side-mounted exhaust, upside-down forks and an aluminium swingarm.
