India-Spec KTM RC 390 Reported To Come With Adjustable Suspension

The KTM RC 390, which has been available in global markets since September 2021, is expected to hit the Indian roads in the month of March this year. The 2022 KTM RC 390 receives a slew of changes, including the abolishment of razor-sharp styling in favour of a more tour-friendly appearance, as well as an upgrade to the equipment list.

According to recent media reports, KTM is expected to introduce the India-spec RC 390 with adjustable front and rear suspension. Having this feature as standard, it would be the only bike in its segment in the country.

The 2022 RC 390 has a restyled trellis frame, new wheels with upgraded brakes, and a larger fuel tank. The engine remains the same, though. The Austrian bikemaker is also anticipated to launch the RC 390 along with the 390 Adventure. However, the ADV doesn’t seem to support the adjustable suspension.

The 2022 KTM RC 390 has gone through a complete overhaul and gets a redesigned front fascia. The revamped model features a single pod headlight in the front, as opposed to the projector-style units on the old model. Speaking of more design updates, the new model has fairing-mounted rearview mirrors, an updated turn signal configuration, a more aerodynamic fairing design, a revised tail section, and a 13.7-litre fuel tank.

Aside from the above-mentioned changes, another interesting update is the exhaust system, which now gets a new stainless steel header pipe and an aluminium muffler, which results in reducing weight and making a more reminiscent soundtrack.

When it comes to the powertrain, the forthcoming KTM RC 390 is likely to be powered by the 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of generating 43.5PS and 37Nm, which is 1Nm more than the current model.

In terms of pricing, the 2022 KTM RC 390 is expected to launch in the Indian markets with an ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 2.90 lakhs. Once launched, it would be competing with the likes of the new TVS Apache RR 310.
