KTM Reportedly Working on a 125cc Adventure Motorcycle

KTM is currently taking the Indian two-wheeler segment in its pride with the launch of some of the most sought-after motorcycles. After the introduction of the 390 Adventure and the global unveiling of the 250 Adventure, the brand is currently working on targeting the lower-displacement adventure segment with the introduction of a 125cc adventure motorcycle. Though the reports have not been officially confirmed yet, one can surely imagine the craze among the audience for the baby adventure motorcycle from the Austrian brand. The upcoming portfolio of KTM recently surfaced online and the adventure segment featured all three displacements including 125cc, 250cc and the 390cc. The KTM 390 Adventure and the 250 Adventure have been officially revealed while the 125 Adventure might take some time to go under production. Since the 125cc-displacement market is flourishing in glory, launching a 125cc adventure motorcycle could prove to be one of the wisest decisions from the brand to get ahead in the competition. One can expect the KTM 125 Adventure to be based on the Duke 125 which is powered by a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. It is capable of generating maximum power of 14.5HP and a peak torque of 12Nm. Though the power and torque output for the 125cc adventure variant has not surfaced online yet, one can expect it to be tuned to suit the characteristics of an adventure bike. To keep the costs under check, one cannot expect the KTM's upcoming 125cc adventure motorcycle to be equipped with all the premium bits when compared to its higher-displacement sibling 390 Adventure. There has been no official confirmation on when the 125 Adventure will go under production though one can expect the brand to reveal the pre-production version of the motorcycle by the end of this year.
