The KTM 250 Adventure has been spotted testing in India once again ahead of the official launch in the coming months. Sharing the same underpinnings as that of its elder sibling, KTM 390 Adventure, the 250cc adventure motorcycle is expected to be launched in India with an affordable price tag of around INR 2.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The brand has further differentiated the two by offering a halogen headlamp to the 250 Adventure while the KTM 390 Adventure is equipped with an all-LED headlight. The halogen light on the 250 Adventure has been further mated to LED DRLs. As the KTM Duke 250 is expected to get an all-LED headlight soon, it is expected that the 250 Adventure will also launch in India with an LED headlight as standard.
The 250cc adventure motorcycle features similar belly pan, tank extensions and other designing traits as that of its 390cc sibling. Powering the KTM 250 Adventure is a BS6-compliant 248.8cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 30HP and a peak torque of 24Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The motorcycle features 43mm USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock unit at the rear. The braking power is offered by 320mm disc brake at the front with a four-piston radial calliper while the rear has been equipped with a 230mm disc brake with a single-piston calliper. The motorcycle further features the MRF Mogrip Meteor-FM2 dual-purpose tyres.
The upcoming motorcycle also features the similar alloy wheel setup as well as the coloured TFT instrument console as that of the 390 Adventure. Once launched in India, the KTM 250 Adventure will compete in the market with the likes of Hero XPulse 200, BMW G310GS, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
