KTM has launched the much-awaited 250 Duke ABS in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.94 lakh. KTM is charging approximately INR 13,000 for the 2-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The plan of enabling ABS in all KTM models completes with the 250 Duke as it was the last model to get ABS after the Duke 200 and the Duke 125. The KTM 250 Duke ABSis good for 30 HP of maximum power at 9000 rpm, and 24 NM of maximum torque at 7500 rpm. The engine claims the best power-to-weight ratio among other options in the quarter-liter segment.
Apart from the powerful engine, KTM 250 Duke is available with a slipper clutch, side-mounted exhaust, upside down forks and an aluminium swingarm. The only benefit of going for the KTM 250 Duke is the cost-effective placement in comparison to the 390 Duke. Otherwise, the addition of LED headlight, ride-by-wire, advanced console and Metzeler tyres make KTM 390 Duke the most attractive model of all time.
KTM 250 Duke ABS is available in White and Orange shade, getting a totally unique headlight with halogen primary bulb. The claimed top speed for the model is 140+ kmph while the fuel tank is shared with the bigger 390 Duke. Both 200 Duke and 250 Duke are available with a similar design in the international market but for India, the trend is different.
