KTM 390 Adventure has been officially showcased by the brand at the India Bike Week 2019, which commenced in Goa today. Based on the design language of KTM 790 Adventure, the 390 Adventure variant has been just displayed at the event and the launch will take place in January 2020. The customers can now book the 390cc adventure variant at select KTM dealerships at a token amount of INR 10,000.
Powering the KTM 390 Adventure is the same 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine borrowed from the 390 Duke. The engine is capable to generate a maximum power of 43.5HP and a peak torque of 37Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The brand has offered the motorcycle with a fuel tank capacity of 14.5-litres while the ground clearance and seat height stands at 200mm and 855mm respectively.
The KTM 390 Adventure has been equipped with a large 19-inch tyre at the front while the rear tyre measures at 17-inches. The suspension duties on the 390cc adventure variant are handled by inverted forks at the front with a travel of 170mm and a preload-adjustable monoshock unit at the rear with 177mm of travel. The motorcycle features 320mm disc brake at the front and 230mm disc brake at the rear mated to disengageable Bosch 9M+ dual-channel ABS as standard.
The brand has further equipped the KTM 390 Adventure with a coloured TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity in addition to offering all-LED headlight setup. The electronics package includes traction control as well as Supermoto mode for the ABS that allows the rider to deactivate the ABS for the rear wheel when necessary.
The KTM 390 Adventure is expected to launch in India with an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 2.90 lakh. The motorcycle would be competing in the market with the likes of BMW G310GS that is currently available in the Indian market at a price tag of INR 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
